Tyr

Tyr was the son of Odin and Frigg, but is sometimes also referred to as an early sky god who's powers were passed to Odin and Thor. Odin's spear 'Gungnir' may also have once belonged to Tyr, in fact many finely ornamented Viking spears dedicated to Tyr have been found recently by archeologists.

Tyr was the god of man to man combat and a god of swords. He was a warrior of unsurpassed skill and courage and he and Garm, the guardian of Hel's gates, fought to the death at Ragnarok.

Fenris

"Yet remains that one of the Aesir who is called Tyr: he is most daring, and best in stoutness of heart, and he has much authority over victory in battle; it is good for men of valor to invoke him. He surpasses other men and does not waver. He is also wise and prudent. This is one token of his daring: when the Aesir enticed Fenriswolf to take upon him the fetter Gleipnir, the wolf did not believe them, that they would loose him, until they laid Tyr's hand into his mouth as a pledge. But when the Aesir would not loose him, then the wolf bit off the Hand of Tyr. Fenris remains bound until the day of Ragnarok."

Welcome to the Hand of Tyr!

The Hand of Tyr is an Asmodian Legion on Castor server within the world of Aion. We are a prelaunch legion that intend to take part in all the facets of Aion Online, and have fun doing it. While we dont take ourselves all that seriously we will continue to explore the world of Aion with gusto. We want to make sure all members get everything they want from Aion and more but the family atmosphere we have had since launch is also critical to the legion.


The aims of 'Hand of Tyr' is to progress as far as we can in Aion with a settled and happy group of legionaries. We are there to help members with information on game mechanics, quests and lore, as well as causing as much pain and misery to the Elyos and Balaur in the Abyss as possible!
